Camille Hunt

Camille Hunt is a Brooklyn-based figurative artist whose work explores identity, self-expression and the way we see ourselves and one another.

Her relationship with figurative art began while earning her BFA in painting from the University of Mississippi, where she also worked as a life model. Seeing the human body translated into artwork showed her how art could shift perspective, turning the things we scrutinize in ourselves into something expressive, individual and beautiful.

After university, Camille spent four years traveling throughout Europe, Asia, South America and Australia. While teaching life drawing in Melbourne, she rediscovered her connection to figurative work. Later, in Brooklyn, an experiment using her own painted body to create impressions on paper evolved into her signature body-printing practice.

Since then, Camille has worked with more than 1,000 people. Through private commissions, she helps individuals preserve themselves as they are at a particular moment in their lives, creating one-of-a-kind works that capture form, presence and character rather than an ideal.

At a time when beauty is increasingly shaped by perfected and digitally created imagery, Camille’s work offers something intentionally human. It celebrates the qualities that make each person distinct and creates space for people to see themselves differently.

That philosophy also extends into custom experiences for brands, organizations and their communities. Camille works with each partner to translate ideas around confidence, individuality and human connection into thoughtful experiences shaped around their audience. Participation can take many forms and does not need to involve body printing, allowing each person to contribute at their own comfort level.
