All Opal led the full production for Bodega Bakes, the debut cookbook by Paola Velez, the award-winning chef and pastry chef. Over an intensive 10-day studio production, our team brought together every element of the creative process for more than 100 recipes, from styling to coordination. The shoot was executed entirely in-studio, with photography by Lauren V. Allen, who captured the book’s vibrant, joyful tone. In addition to the recipe photography, we also produced the author portraits in New York City, photographing Paola around her favorite neighborhood spots to reflect her warmth, personality, and connection to community. The result is a visually stunning and deeply personal celebration of culture, flavor, and identity. Since its release, Bodega Bakes has been named one of the Best Cookbooks of 2024 by The New York Times, The Washington Post, Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Forbes, and many others.
